Take Care

The sky turned tessellation
I gazed a constellation of
purple haze ants marching
through the blue
So surprised to come across you
in this flesh wall barefoot venue
we stood again united as a nation

Embrace swirled into pirouette
as you emerged from the silhouette of
adored and painted days
gone by and bye
So taken by the brilliance in your eye
the reality of your body next to mine
we stood again and shared a cigarette

I hope you'll reappear again
telling tales of where you've been
where you're going
how you'll get there
until we meet again
take care

Take care out there in this world
that will scare and confound you
Take care of those who love
respect and astound you
For the world has no greater gift to give
than those that will be there
And I always will
until we meet again
take care
