Vietnam Vet

to uncle John, and every vietnam vet who has gone through hell
Bombs blasting
two feet away.
Ordered to kill
on a daily basis.
Fighting a war
that no one cares about.
Risking my life
in a forein country,
to be spit on at home,
by those who didn't understand.
Flashbacks wrack my daytimes,
sleep doesn't come.
I defended our country,
with little thanks in return.
god loves the veterans
maybe you should too!
