Spurned

A pin stripe
thin
spider's web line
of hate
draws itself
through velvet
and into the beating heart
of a lover.
A meander of gloom
edges existence
spiking the horizon
fencing in secrets
and storing up lust.

A poem perfect in every way, Frances! I love the way you seem to draw the reader into the poem in the first 8 lines.

More of this! - Please.

MACRO-poetry! You focus well on the minutae of human experience and the way little things can spiral out of control in a very destructive way.

This is an interesting perspective and also a well written poem. You convey the perspective, the feeling in a meaningful way. I really enjoyed this read.
