Impartial Mirror

Lost in introspect,
I’m not sure what I expect
From myself

Walking an off-kilter line,
I think I’ve just lost
What was mine

With no one to blame,
I reject my shame,
But it’s stinging

So I imagine a place
Where we’d all rather be,
Walking in my own
Unknown pace

Guided by the happiness
In holding hands and
The denial of a forgotten
One night stand.

Solo and alone
I burn with ambition
Later with a voice that’s losing tone,
I kneel down and hide my eyes.

A tower swaying side to side and
Encumbered by a darkness of victory.
I wish it was just you and me again.

Scribbling humble melodies,
We sing to the shrine.

Reminiscent,
Iridescent,
Omniscient voice by the Animistic Mime

“Come back later at a better time.”

The last line ties it all together, it adds humor to a dark studded line.
