obsession
And now, in this darkness where daylight hides,
I watch you. The calm is here, and warmth is slow,
And not one person, not even you, will know
That as you sleep my gaze intently slides
Between the soft arch of your foot, the flesh
Of smoothest neck, over your flowing veins.
I will study you like a landscape painter.
With one watchful gaze i will encase you.
Daylight, and your startled look
Says everything; you will not be posessed.
And though i cannot keep you where i want you,
Each movement that you make will be observed;
I love you while you sleep, but in the morning,
As i seek you, I know you're already gone.
