Undamage
How does one not live again
The torments of a life in pain?
How does one regain
a modicum of dignity when one is stained?
How can you undo the deeds
That satisfied their needs?
The bitter seeds
Took root to overgrow in weeds
How come I can only see
An emptiness, an ache in all I'll be?
Awake and falling by degree
To sleep but lose myself in me
How shall my love lie?
Like shallow pools to catch the rainfall from on high
To vaporise beneath a cloudless sky
And wring my essence dry
How might one heart overcome?
Flow free of that which anchors some
Below a memory's thumb
How might one not be rendered numb?

| I personally think you captured the human spirit in full action, in everyday world. Healing, loving, letting go and reinventing yourself again, in a harsh world... sometimes not very understanding. Loved your words, and the canvas you painted in the mind of the reader... |
