Drowning in Myself

Clinging to the buoys of the ocean
One after another in an endless succession
Fighting for my life
If I let go, I'll drown

Growing so tired
Its been years, lifetimes, eons
And I can't hold on much longer

Oh no! An undertow!
Slipping... slipping... grasping in the dark...

Then suddenly it hit me
I am the ocean!
Drowning was never even a possibility
How silly of me!

Interesting, the mind can be so tricky, so vast, just like an ocean! We tend to see ourselves so simply, not realizing we are the ocean we're drowning in. Very clever idea indeed.
