Wound

I have been swathed
on his tender flesh
even when he has bathed
with me in waters ever so fresh -
but now I'm all washed
up and worn out
Before long I'll be dispatched
forever unattached,
torn , forlorn ….
He's become so thin-skinned
and I can't soothe him
anymore
how have I wound
up needing to be healed?

Healing others can wound us, if we let it. Good show for finding a way to convey that. Still, there are times it's worth the risk, I think... Er, sorry, poetry. I liked it.

This is a good look into how people sometimes grow apart and how their negative energy can drain you. I really enjoyed this poem. Thanks for sharing.
