let me kiss your lids
wake up to my lips
what a year it’s going to be
stripping bare
the cracks
previously papered
to hide disappointments
of previous years
wasted in praise
of false wishes and wants
and terracotta hopes
fading
in this brighter sun
throwing coins
in the well of my tears
springing hopes
I never knew before
you touched me
with whispers on my skin
powered propelled
with the wings
of a leaf
denying the Winter
and floating in endless peace.

Imagery and word pairing here are refreshingly unique. The stanzas I feel were properly placed and this one overall is quite touching and sincere. Nice work. Look forward to reading more from you.
Very lovely. I like the idea of denying winter...I'd like to deny it today in fact but it's too cold. I also liked 'terracotta hopes'.
