Blind eyes

I took a handful of sand
and I rubbed it in my eyes

tiny grains, little cuts
to try to clear out all the lies

but the scene staring back at me
was not a big surprise.

It was like the world was in disguise.

A/N. Sondheim-esque. Little diddie done at work.

This little diddie is quite nice.. Does indeed make you think for a while.. Isn't it just amazing how we find some mystery of the world and forget it after a second.. Weird.. Nicely written though I like your style...

(By the way even though I'm Pakistani, I have cousins living in Tornto)

Neat little diddie. The thought of it is just shocking, rubbing sand in your eyes? It made me pay attention.
