I Am A Sugar Skin M&M

This morning in therapy
I felt like the remains in my fridge
ten day old tangerines
for eyes
wrinkled and crumpled
in pessimism
a kiwi and three
sausages
your prickly juice
my juicy pricks
smiling without being very happy.

Today I was the leaf litter
screeching for winds
to pick me
and throw me disdainfully
but with lust
ravage and hold
if you must
prepare me for
journeys unkempt.

I am an M&M
under your tongue
roll me and hide me
keep me for hours
smiling as a fox
in the pen
licking me
my sugary skin
dissolving temptations
all over you.

Intriguing...I like the combination of a dark mood with the literal references. Each time I read it I get a little different taste. Well done!
