Automatic Writing: Flash Fiction Challenge 01

The gallows-man hums the hymns of death, and all around the red leaves fall, percolating into boiling blood-drops as they rain down. The black widow puckers her lips for a kiss, and in that instant, the blade punches through your spine, and you lose cohesion, collapsing to the bitter earth. A twig snaps behind you, motion in the air above, and a soft hungry growl. Then stillness.

Good imagery...Sorry I couldn't get to this one a little sooner...I must say, you took a different turn, one that I didn't even think about... I don't get the part, "A soft hungry growl," Though....Am I not supposed to get it?
