Send Him Back To Me

Water beating on the windshield of her car,
He left her with one more mental scar,
She stepped outside, tears blend with the rain,
Letting go of all of her pain,
She was drenched, her soul soaked to the bone,
She couldn’t believe he left her alone,
Her weary body dropped to the ground,
She asked God why but heard no sound,

Why did he have to go,
When you knew I loved him so,
Please tell me why,
You took him from me,
When we fought so hard to be free,
Though we suffered, we had each other,
It was hard but we loved one another,
I can’t live without him can’t you see,
So Please God,
Send him back to me,

Her head grew heavy, her heart grew weak,
Even her prayers had become hard to speak,
From out of the blue there stood a man,
She started to look up when he reached out his hand,
He helped her up off the ground,
There eyes met as the rain fell all around,
It was him, her one true love,
He had returned from above,

Why did you have to go,
When you knew I loved you so,
Please tell me why,
You left me,
When we fought so hard to be free,
Though we suffered we had each other,
It was hard but we loved one another,
I can’t live without you can’t you see,
So please come back to me,

He said, I never left you alone,
I remain in our happy home,
Where you are there I am also,
In your heart our love will forever grow,

She could only ponder thoughts of why,
As he disappeared in the blink of an eye,

Why did he have to go,
When you knew I loved him so,
Please tell me why,
You took him from me,
When we fought so hard to be free,
Though we suffered, we had each other,
It was hard but we loved one another,
I can’t live without him can’t you see,
So Please God,
Send him back to me,
