| Kristen, well done in the placement of the beer cans in scene with the boy. A not-in-your-face tale, yet it says so much in such a short piece. I liked this. |

| Yes, Karen, using 'had broke' vs the more correct 'had broken' was to add to the atmosphere of the piece. I'm a big fan of Jeff Foxworthy and his redneck jokes - this is sort of an homage to the genre. :) |

Ah, all those beer cans that say more about this man, this family, than anything else - very good, Kirsten.
Just one thing (isn't there always?), was 'had broke' instead of 'had broken' deliberate for idiomatic effect? Just curious.
