He Says

He says you should see South Carolina in the morning
You look out your window and see the mountains
Touching the clear blue sky
He says you should see Illinois in the evening when all is
Quiet and the sun is falling out of the evening sky
He says come with me and climb the highest mountains
While he says I’ll give you your wings and watch you fly
He says follow me to the end of the earth,
While he says I’ll follow you till the day that I die

There’s an argument between the two
Both wondering which one I’ll choose.
The argument is always the same never changing in its ways.
They fight to see who can give me the most,
Hoping they’re the one I chose.
The heart knows no boundaries
But a relationship isn’t matched in groups of three’s, so
I’ll make my choice I have to someday
I’ll make my choice,
But not by what they say

He says just give me a chance and I know we will make it
I’ve known it since my first glance,
He says I’ll give you my heart in hopes that you won’t break it,
I’ll give you my life please take it.
He says you want the world just take it
I hold it here in the palm of my hand
While he says you want time
I’ll give it I hold the hourglass and its sand.

This is the fight that I hear
This is the fight that they have made so clear,
Both of them trying to pull me near.
This is the time when I need to make my up my mind
This is the time when I need to fight for what’s mine
It is my heart, it is my soul
I need to tell them what I already know.

There’s an argument between the two both wondering which
One I’ll choose. The argument is always the same never changing
In it’s ways. They fight to see who can give me the most,
Hoping they’re the one I chose. The heart knows no boundaries
But a relationship isn’t matched in groups of three’s, so
I’ll make my choice I have to someday; I’ll make my choice,
But not by what they say

The battle is over, neither wanting to lose,
Both of them waiting, which did I choose,
Anticipation mounting, who will it be,
The choice was easy, I choose me,
