I’ve taken the hard road
That one less traveled
No paved roads to ease my heavy load
Only gravel roads repaying me for the seeds I’ve sewn
Yet I’m still fighting as hard as I can
Until the hour glass loses its sand
One day all of my dreams will come true
But until they do

I’m sittin’ here watchin’ the paint dry
Wonderin’ what I’m gonna do with my life
I’m always the one with the plan
I always have the upper hand
But now I don’t have a clue
I’m sittin here wonderin what I’ll do
And watching the paint dry

I’ll never give up on my dreams
No matter how hard it seems
I’ve some this far
I’ve fought this hard
There’s no turning back
When your dreams are who you are
I’ll play this game until the bitter end
I’ll just try harder until I can say
It’s me they want to see up on that stage
But until they do

I’m sittin’ here watchin’ the paint dry
