Goodnight

We all set there
At your bed side
Waiting for the time
For God to take you home that night
Tears filled our eyes
As you slipped away
Then you said goodnight like every other day

Oh Grandma tell me again Goodnight
Tell me everything will be alright
Cause at least I’ll know you’re here by our side
Oh Grandma tell me again goodnight

We held you close
And you said goodbye
Now I’ll close my eyes
And give time a second chance
And then I won’t see
That you’re not here with me
I need you tonight

Oh grandma tell me again goodnight
Tell me everything will be alright
Cause at least I’ll know you’re by our side
Oh grandma tell me again goodnight

We miss you
We need you here tonight
But our memories will get us through

But Oh grandma tell me again goodnight
Tell me everything will be alright
Cause at least I’ll know you’re here by our side
Oh grandma tell me again goodnight
