Unfair Advantage (story challenge 22)

“Come on, first person back to the house wins an evening on the sofa!”

“Aw come on, Sissy! I’m only ten – you’re sixteen! You’ve got longer legs than me!”

“You’d better run faster then!”

Sissy turned, bounding away up the cliff path. Clara sighed, resigned to the thought of yet another evening doing her sister's chores.

Yep - I'm the youngest of four - they used to do this kind of thing to me all the time. Very well captured, Icy.

Cheers

That's what poisoned darts and sledgehammers are for...soon take care of those long legs.

As a younger sibling, I can relate to this, especially the resignation!! Good write.

There are certain characteristics with siblings. Need I say more? (my three sisters may be looking in). But, six years between means that sister one (Sissy) is established as master and boss of the houshold before Clara arrives and becomes a threat, companion, servant, scapegoat, enemy, best friend, target, whatever. I'll never really understand the dynamics of my family, never mind fictional characters that have been produced from the mind and conditioning of another.

Thank you for the enjoyable read, Icy, believable and well written.

Grae:)

This is my brothers. My oldest brother is 6'5" so it's kind of a challenge for 5'7" me. Ahh well.

Agreed with Nora, sweet story, and totally worth the smile it got.

I say it's time for a revolution, Clara!

Sweet and funny story. Ah, to be the big sibling...
