A boy
of slender enough years
but no moisture
slick
behind ears
calls for beers
sneaks a touch of her
arm
on this first date.
This girl
for him
has a giggle on her lips
plump with tension
not yet of a wire
tight of sex
still of a balloon
type
floaty and expectant.
His legs
can’t travel far or fast
enough
for his heart in a Porsche
a brillo pad-resistant
smile
painted on
the windscreen of his face.
She sneaks
a glance not shy
molten coal
eyelashes
dip
and trip this boy’s
switch.
He lifts
with his lips
upon hers
her heart
from her chest
in seconds
desiring escape
Steve McQueen-esque.

I was going to pick a favorite line or verse or stanza, but each one has a beauty of it's own, each one holds tight to the next, I'd have to say then that the whole of the work is fantastic. I am partial to the 4th stanza, if I had to pick. Another keeper Daveyboygreen. ;)
