Out of Control

How could I have let it get this far -
So deeply destructive,
Before recognizing…

Have another beer
Smoke more
It’s so hard to say no
Because I rest on the edge of self-destruction
Every fucking day

Every fucking day – I wish I would die …
By accident

How can I be this “intelligent” when this language has no meaning,
And only always, ultimately, constantly, forever, be reduced
To “HOW LONG”?

The most hardcore/alternative/garage/recycled/cryptic/Q generation music –
Still trades on the salvation of Job.
Fuck that.

There is nothing new.
There is no acute understanding.
There is only all of us indoctrinated.

Every fucking day – I wish I would die …
By accident

Word, baby doll. I watched a PBS special today featuring Deepak Chopra (whom I love, and one of his major points had to do with humans fear of death. He said, "humans are the only animal who recognize death as a possibility." I find that fascinating.

Well, for one, I hope you don't. It would be a tremendous loss. Every life has purose. The trick is figuring out what that purpose is and walking in it with our heads held high. You can do it if you want to, but you have to want to more than you want air to breathe. Janet
