Suicide Crossing

Suicide crossed her mind again.
God I hope she doesn't let that thought win.
So much that time can't erase.
Her fears seem to feed on the chase.
Broken & Shattered
Torn & Tattered
She was broken again today.
I'm trying so hard to take her pain away.
Everyday the road to safety gets harder & longer.
But she has me there to help her get stronger.
Her pains kills me, it really does.
All her reasons she can say is because.
I'll hold her hand along this road make of sand.
When she falls I'll be there to help her stand.
Treated so badly, god I love her madly.
She deserves the best, she deserves to be treated like a princess
Wonderful, Charming, and oh so pretty.
All her retorts are always witty.
Whispers behind her back, leave their tiny cracks.
Time moves on and she's been chipped and cracked.
I'm trying to help put her back.
Love, Trust, & so much compassion.
I'm showing her so much passion.
Suicide crossed her mind again
and all I can do is pray she doesn't let it win.

I agree with your words, you do deserve to be treated like a princess...Life is hard to get through at times and it seems when the thoughts of suicide come in to play your not in control. Many people think you are and those are the ones that have never been depressed enough to feel this way, but you are not alone many people fight depression everyday. As the poem I wrote to my son said "Don't give up the will to fight"..... Thank you for sharing this piece...

Always a grim topic. Suicide, the highest form of self-criticism. God, praise, encouragement, poetry, passion, deep and abiding love and good friendships are cures.
Good take on a theme from the other perspective. Usually we get windows into the hurt mind.
