Shadowless Nights

A star from heaven
This night has fell
From high up above
To darkness of hell

The glimmering light
Like none that you've known
No longer doth shine
As your heart turns to stone

How could love be lost
And the answer you lack
You drop down to your knees
With black wings on your back

No refuge of shadows
And to love again you fear
While still the tears flow
The true reason is clear

For a love that's worth keeping
Will hurt when it's gone
All the pain and empty feelings
Are proof you weren't wrong

So bravely you endure
And trust again to love
For a new star is shinning
Brightly from up above
