Caught Cheating

She caught him cheating today
But she wiped her tears away.
He’s done this before
So she’ll walk out the door,
This time she’ll leave him for good,
Like she always thought she should,

She has to stay,
For now she can’t walk away,
With her hand on the door
She starts crying once more
She walked back in
And prayed he wouldn’t do it again

How did she let things get so out of hand
She really didn’t know, she didn’t understand,
She couldn’t let herself live with this regret,
Forgiveness isn’t easy and it’s harder to forget,

She’s torn between the love she feels for him,
And all the hate she has within
She puts herself in his place,
As tears fall from her face,
She picks his shirt up off the floor
And starts to cry once more

How did she let things get so out of hand
She really didn’t know, she didn’t understand,
She couldn’t let herself live with this regret,
Forgiveness isn’t easy and it’s harder to forget,

She’s tired of playing his fool,
That’s something she swore she wouldn’t do,
Here she sits alone
Just waiting for the phone
This would be the last time,
She’d let him commit loves cheating crime

How did she let things get so out of hand
She really didn’t know, she didn’t understand,
She couldn’t let herself live with this regret,
Forgiveness isn’t easy and it’s harder to forget,


She caught him cheating today
