My Life

I fell like I am running down a lonely road at night,
My eyes are open but there is no end in sight.
The more I try to get my life on the right track,
The more the darkness keeps pulling me back.
I walk through the open doors,
Just to get on the other side to find one more.
My hopes and dreams will some day come true,
Then in my arms I will be holding you.
Our eyes will meet our lips will touch,
And you will know that I love you oh so much.
But until then down the dark road I’ll go,
Running fast but moving slow.
