CAN I TRUST YOU?
Can I trust you when you say you love me?
When you say those words to me, they hold so much power
Twists my thoughts into irregular sizes
Following me into my deepest thoughts…
Into my tuberose mist, candle lit showers
The ones that engulf me into a mystical outer body experience
With a warmth that has solar type energy
Engraving my DNA with sensual creation
Unlimited becomes those hours.
Can I trust you when you say you love me?
I need you to be at my “beck and call”
I don’t mean frivolous, materialistic ventures…
Jaded images of what we try to hide
Long I do for truth and strength
Because you see when you fall
I’d break my neck to catch you
I’ll delight your senses and satisfy your hunger
In what ever way you need
I’ll wrap my arms around you like love’s shawl.
Can I trust you when you say you love me?
When the tears begin to stream down my face
Will you wipe them away?
Showing the ability to turn my melancholy state around
Not causing disruptions or giving insulting stares…
The ones that cramp my faithful pace
Try sharing with me your passion for what is yet to come
Memories that have yet to be,
Becoming entwined in all of me like silk threads and lace.
Can I trust you when you say you love me?
Us becoming a single identity
yet understanding the need to temporarily detach
So that when we come together,
it is then we feel free
Us, walking in the shadows of our higher power’s glow hand in hand
satisfied with the journey we’ll leave behind
And eternally joyful in the bloom of our seeds.
Can you really love me like I’m supposed to be?

| This is beautiful. you have to wonder if you can trust people when you have walked through a life of untrustworthy people, the future makes you wonder if there are any trustworthy ones left, but then again you want to have someone to confide in but your mind makes you wonder if you can..... Great poem i love the way you wrote it... I hear a song when i read it..... |
