Hannah

The focus was at best
In the quiet place

Where home was a guest

The peace in the night
Settled, restless like a kite
And from it we both drew light

It only expanded our sight

The old, familiar place
And time, the same constant pace
Stood no chance with us, intertwined

It became a lasting feeling
The space between us couldn't touch

Forbidding time, forbids too much
