Displaced

Colorful words of lonely despair,
Followed by a blank stare,
Saddled with my own distress,
Because my life has become a mess,
I just can’t seem to get it right,
No matter how hard I try to fight,
I have become a big disgrace,
Now that my life has been displaced,
Watched my dreams go up in smoke,
Suffered more than anyone knows,
I let everyone down that I meet,
But what’s worse is that I let down me.

The opening lines of this poem really spoke to me. All creative souls feel displaced, especially when forced to reconcile the trivial and mundane with their spiritual and creative aspirations. This would make a great song.

Great stuff, I guess I'm not the only writer who feels displaced...:)

I can relate to this, well written honesty. As long as we learn & move forwards, the struggle can be a positive thing.
