In Their Shoes

You say you know what I am going through,
Then take a walk in my shoes,
You say life has been harder for you,
Then take a walk in my shoes,
You say no one could be so blue,
Then take a walk in my shoes,

Stop talking and start walking
You’re not the only one with strife,
So what, you’ve been dealt a rough life,
You’ll never know what a person goes through,
Until you take a walk in their shoes.

Excellent. I have a suggestion: Instead of "Take a walk in my shoes."
On some of the lines, like the first one for instance, you could substitute: "You haven't walked in my shoes." or "You've never walked in my shoes." You go girl. Any time anyone says, "I know what you feel," they're wrong. No one knows until they have BEEN there, and even then, we're all made up differently from spiritual, emotional, and mental things that have poured into our lives from day one. This is a good one. Keep working on it. Janet

Would be cool to have backup singers sing the repetitive verse.

Need to extend this a bit-good as a beginning and the last verse could be the chorus or turnaround verse.
