Her Life Was Sweet

Her life was long her life was sweet,
But in the end the lord she did meet,
He took her away one day in May,
All our lives were changed that day,
Her smiling face we would never again see,
Now all we have are her memories,
I think about her all the time,
She will always be a legend in my mind.
My mom was my best friend,
But the lord took her in the end,
Now she is gone and I don’t know why,
She flew away into the sky,
I know someday I will meet her there,
And for eternity we will share,
The love we knew here on earth,
It will be like the day of my birth.
