Flee

In the far dark
a whispered cry
Don't try to deny
all that you've left behind

It flees your mind
Plagues your soul
You can try to forget
but it is always there

In the far corner
A lost little boy
God's given toy
to abuse and hurt
Corner built of solitude
not of want or need
not to control or bleed
Just to leave what we've left behind

It will flee your mind
From time to time
Leave it blank
from hour to day
but it always comes back
There's always something else to say

In the far dark
A tiny cry
you can try
To forget as you may
It never leaves us alone
Haunted by our past
Time goes by a little too fast
For us to forget everything.
