Clean Slate

Clean Slate

I have no idea
What to say.
I have no idea
What to do.
I just think that
Right now,
I’m supposed to be here
With you.

It never made any sense
To me.
The heart has a mind
Of it’s own.
Never thought
We were ever going to be
Here again.
I’d hoped for this before
But we weren’t ready then.
This time around
I want everything to be right.

I am stubborn and
Will want things my way,
You will get frustrated
And want to walk away,
And together we will wonder
If its worth it...

But we will apologize to one another
And wipe the slate clean
And try it again because
I never know what to do.
I never know what to say.
But I just know that
Right now,
In this place,
At this moment,
I’m supposed to be with you.
