Don't Let me Use Your Guitar

The soundman laughs
Coddling his console
Cliché pop-punk madness blasts
crashing through a darkened dingy atmosphere
The guitar is two steps out of tune
but each time it strives for high E
Volume knobs squeak to life
and the speakers scream silly love songs
Enough –
This guitar has met its match
Smash
Cold black lacquer splashes on the ground
and the foolish crowd sits
Mouth’s agape.

I think the "Who" smashed their guitars at the end of the concert-

I can visualize this clearly-same as Mick-I was in a band and if that guitar is out of tune, it screws up the whole song for everyone.

line four: I would put "thrashing" instead of "crashing" and "squeal" instead of "squeak"
