My Artistic Statement

Although only admitting to being in my very late 30’s
I remain influenced by the 50’s and 60’s.
The moods of Colour Shape Texture combine to
make music you can see and touch!
I feel music
Soothing pure notes whispering to my soul
Jagged harsh Claxons of raw action-urging
energy
I see music
Brilliant jewel like hues of liana draped
forest with a jungle beat
Pure aqua tones of tropical seas singing
the Blues
Stormy greys of an angry ocean
percussing the shore
Soft golden light fluting through a dawn
window
Deep ruby reds sluicing to the pulse
While visual music consumes me
I aspire
to beats of screaming heart stopping silence
surrounded by all-enveloping “wall of sound”
rhythm.
Close your ears
See the music with me!

in french, claxon is the word for car horn... i loved the expressions--action-urging energy--through a dawn window--reds sluicing...
the gift inhabits you.
you have the measure and the depth.
i never think of changing your words as they intuitively know where they live.

c'mon geordie,
you're a poet and you don't know it.

Great stuff - lovely juicy tumbling waterfall of ideas.

Aussies hate the idea of being considered wankers - don't we? I know I get a bit self conscious about it - gotta lose that and cut loose!
Yay!
