Nightmare

Shaken by the nightmares I endured
While medically secured
Images so real for days I found it hard to deal
Murderous rages infested my being in subconscious form
As I lay on my back trying to heal.
Concerned with the visions in my head
Leads me to re-evaluate my person
So I can move ahead
Time is all I have to dissect my heart...
Analyze the hatred tearing me apart.
It was just a dream I internally screamed
But it's realistic nature clouded me with deathly reams
Awakened by cold sweats and gasping for air
The deepest black corners me and all I see...
Is the devil's piercing stare
Frantically, I begin to ask for God's graces
Begging to be removed from there.
As I awake to the glow of the sun
Fear sweeps away from me as I am blessed
And new days have begun.
Perspective? New
Soul? Reborn
From Satin's grip I've been torn
Love begins where hatred ends...
Lessons of a nightmare...I fully understand
