My Resolution

What color is my love?

Does it shine forth golden, that my daughter's locks be gold as they respond to my love?

Is it tainted with the hue of pink- the pink of my son's sleeping cheeks as he navigates the adventures of his dreams.

Is my love blue- steady ocean blue of the overcast sea. I see the depths of his eyes and YES only there do I find love blue.

Can love be black? In that loneliest moment when the days roar has subsided, my love of the healing darkness and quiet is black.

I receive love from my mother, and to her only child that love gleams opalescent. I value her love beyond all riches.

She will give me the strength to lift my pink-touched boy and my golden haired daughter above the ordinary and set them on the pedestal love makes for them and as sweet innocence demands.
