Don't worry, be happy;

Quietly, as I take a look around me;
dank, the night has come to be.
While the wind grants me security,
raindrops, like once neglected friends,
have come to stay.

Nights like these are often forgotten.
In fact, appreciating it seems verboten.
How do we let such tranquility slip by?
Perhaps, we're too caught up to even try.

Listen!
The distant sound of an airplane
Crashing over the soothing sound of traffic.
Makes me want to dance,
into the coldness of the night.
Stop me not.
I'm elated, don't you see?
I take no concern on love and peace
or drugs and its harsh reality
because my soul is at rest
my mind, at ease.
