Slipper Tango

Succor and pain
Let the bone show, let the line break
Flickering raindrops, steaming puddles
The voices, the laughter, the matrix
Finally I've come alive
A heavy coat of absolutes at my feet

A cup, at once!
My parched lips scream
Bleed, a red imprint upon the rim
A light sin to again
Feel the world upon my skin

Live with a broken heart
Or wither whole, unadorned
Sunken in integrity

I know not, I know nothing
That you have taught me well
And blind to rapture,
I only aim to feel nothing

Dry skin, eyes moist
You are so exterior to me
Pacing along barren roads
I cannot let go, I will not let go
And oscillating this continues
I yearning and you pulling

The fruit is ripe

Wow! This really is a juicy piece of writing... something you can really sink your teeth into. Succulent and sweet, that dribbles down your chin. The fruit is ripe alright…. Tasty :)
