ANTE PORTAS

I choke on the clove drowned
In the mulled wine at Antre
Red as the passion brewing under my skin
Crimson like love that doesn’t want to vanish
Scarlet scars of fruitless discussions and crepuscule arguments
Full blooded
That’s how I want you

I love the imagery in this. Different line breaks could really add to the effect. For instance, "i choke on the clove/drowned in the mulled wine at Antre/Red [as] the passion brewing/ etc.
Just a suggestion.
(full blooded?)
This is striking piece.
