Sound of the Prairie

The wind swept prairie
A tumbleweed scudding by
The coyote's cry

you created a powerful image with so few words. Haikus are a weak point of mine, and I am amazed when anyone pulls one off successfully as you have here. I have no constructive criticism to add...so I guess you'll just have to be satisfied with a few words of praise and admiration! ;0)
glad to see you still here and glad to be back! Take care Dennis!

You painted a good scene, Dennis, with a simple haiku. Sounds like where I live.

Stark and apocalyptic. I am reminded of something like Cromac McCarthy. Very good.
