Summary of Julius Caesar

(A homework assignment)

It all started
with a celebration
of Caesar’s conquest
of Pompey’s nation.
At this festival
The Soothsayer warned
Caesar of the tradgedy
that would later be performed.
The people all laughed,
for they thought it a joke.
They never thought their dear Caesar
would in blood soak.
Cassius and Brutus, and several other men,
planned out this cruel deed.
They wanted their freedom
and were blinded by jealousy and greed.
Many times through Caesar’s body
did their cruel swords go.
When Antony came
he was upset so
That he told the conspirators
he was ready to be killed.
They promised not to harm him,
but, planning revenge, he was very strong-willed.
He riled up the crowd,
hoping to avenge the murder of his friend.
Cassius and Brutus did
“honorably” their lives end
