I am a mist,
My knowledge and belief
The merest mist on a cold pane of faith.
Show me a hint of hot conviction and I'm gone,
Breathe on me -
I melt away to motes.
Nuclei.

My thoughts are butterflies
Crushed to dust,
That once dipped tongues in ink.
Soon I will be dry.

All the world is dumb;
Slow
Opaque
Closed

No osmosis from
My world to me,
Or I to her.

Reason insulates,

And nothing bleeds between.

Andy, the mist theme really captured by imagination. Great poem! --Robert Barlow
