Love Only
Love Only
A Poem by Identitycrisis
Fears, no more than
personal enemies
Beckon attention
reject and distort intention
Snubbing noses
lack devotion
Woven stitches
tightly bound up and
surrounding small places
Only glimmers of fondness
can be found there
Protected by imagining
that which, often fear finds
sewing taught stitches
Working, all while forgetting
to protect
becomes bitter and hard
Beauty it gets smaller
smaller, intensity falling
Plain numbness
wakes you up and finds you
without heart
laying on the floor
Energy less time bomb
failing to find or even pursue
simple pleasures divine
Clings to existence
resistance, reflection
only a matter of time
Fueled with invitation
imagination
Love only defined
in the backs of minds
Fear of the cold, betrayed
by one's own mind?
