Plucked
The cadaver lay quiet, made up to reflect the image of yesterday’s peaceful slumber. Empty as a black hole in the atmosphere; nothing enters; nothing escapes.
It was not always that way, it used to
be full of energy; free flowing cycles engulfing round about, in and out, traveling to and fro.
That was before they found him bloody and battered on the floor, at the hands of three robbers who traded their freedom for a mere thirty dollars apiece.
Plucked from time in the prime of his Life;
this world will never be the same.
