Go on...
On my knees
all I could do was cry;
arms raised to the heavens and skies,
full moon in my eyes
banging on the ground why,
why did I turn to darkness
and her to the light.
So you go on and play it cool
and I'll sit back and play the fool.
We call it wrong because we
know its not right,
but I'm not going down tonight
unless we go down together
and I'm not giving up
unless we give up forever.
So you go on and play it cool
and I'll sit back and play the fool.
On my knees yelling stop
begging please,
she said "I'm sorry
but our times has to freeze,"
then she turned around and
walked away with ease.
So go on and play it cool
and I'll sit back and play the fool.
You act like you don't
care when you know you do;
and you know you're in love with someone
you're just not sure who,
because the only choices are me and you.
So just go on and play it cool
and I'll sit back and play the fool.
