Ghost of a Girl

There's a ghost of a girl

And she's waiting for me

She lives in my room

In the shadows

And her eyes never sleep

They keep watch over me

Like a mother, a guard

Like an angel

I remember her well

From a far other side

A seeker, seeking some place

To discover or to hide

She chose a left turn

I guess it must have looked clear

Now she's a ghost of a girl

And her footprints lead her here

If she has her regrets

She keeps them locked up inside

Or shares them with someone

In the shadows

She let her impatient heart

Sweep her logic away

Now she's suspended in time

Like a dream the next day

Now she's a ghost of a girl

I can meet her half way

And my ghost of a girl

Says she wants me to stay

I loved the honest, straightforward and clean style with which you wrote this poem. No fanciness, no pretentious wordiness, just a heartfelt expression of your feelings. And I love ghost poems :)
