Two hearts, one mind...
Two hearts, One mind.
Finding the truth is hard to find.
Where I sit and write in place.
A soldier cries in his place.
Granted he signed up and went to war.
For one man to settle a score.
To die with honour is what one wishes.
While with both of us home is in the distance.
Fighting for the same cause
the same beliefs of a few
In time this too will pass
As the world is built new.
Going on his instinct as he moves forth
I am much like him on this course.
Our battles are the same,
Trying to keep track of all the names
In the end you see
It is his tears that drive me
To report,
To speak,
To defend the free.
See two hearts, one mind.
We both fight for liberty.
Mine is with the pen,
His is in the sand.
A war for both,
With a tyrant in command.
Why do we move forth?
One truly must ask.
Because if we don't
Our freedoms won't last.
Cry for those that have past.
Cry for those that remain.
In the end the result is the same.
Blood for oil,
Makes my blood recoil.
Senseless death for all to see.
Not in vain do we serve.
Liberty, Freedom leads the way.
So our children can be free
Honour binds our fight so well.
Even when that road is a paved to hell.
