Anomaly

In their orange suits,
Caged up.
Such beautiful animals,
All hairy,
And frail.
No attempt made,
To remove the anomaly,
That holds them in chains.

'Oh why won't you come down and say it's so very wrong?'

I guess it's not the way,
You talk to the Zookeeper,
He who decides whether to feed you,
His word must be obeyed,
He's got you by the balls,
And you,
Look like,
A fool.

This is a very interesting poem, incidently well done. Verse 1 -
1st person plural, and then you switch to second person singular in verse 2. Somehow, I feel that the poem is allegorical - possibly
there is a deeper meaning below the surface of the written words. I am in agreement with your reader that this could be a metaphor for prison. Nice write.

Sounds like people in prison when at first I actually took you literally. Now I'm not sure...
The saying goes, dont bite the hand that feeds you. What about the one that bleeds you?
Nice read.
