Before

Desk,
inside,
Grass, a tiny amount,
Outside.
A strip,
Before concrete,
Before tarmac,
Before bricks.
I step out,
And I am not here,
I am here,
Many years before,
When it was all grass,
And trees,
And life,
Where now,
There is only,
Man.

Now most everything is building or houses. Open fields of splednor are a thing of the past while man cuts down trees and builds to his desire. You captured the destruction of nature very well**

I like the message conveyed in this one and your simple approach speaks volumes of the environmental destruction caused by humans.

I agree. There's too much concrete and brick and pavement. What happened to the endless lush blades of green between our toes? Love your words. Honest and pertinent.

I like the intense way you write. You feel so much even for grass. (Kidding!).
Great works man. Keep sharing!
