Domina by Brandi Lei

Domina

The servants called me ‘Domina’
A righteous name for a queen
Beauty that silenced the masses
Knowledge that made Kings quiver
in my presence
Riches beyond one’s comprehension,
I did possess…
Now I lay shackled in the bottom of this vessel
I am like the people who served me
How did it come to this?
Slow uneasy movements …
….up… down… up… down
Someone just vomited
Smells that sent my mind into suicidal bliss
Maybe I will have favor and die before I reach this wretched destiny
I can see the light now
Am I dead? Rejoice.
No. Just the sunlight
I am being rushed off the vessel
I fear what I resemble in this new light
I am brought to this great place
Great white polls set in front
Statues I don’t recognize
Nothing like my palace…
far…far…away
A woman stands in the doorway
She admires my beauty
She possesses her own beauty
Not quite like mine
Words are being spoken
Their language is foreign
But I know what it means
Glances are exchanged between them..
She will be my Domina now…
No!
I grab for the shiny metal that rests on the side
of the man next to me
I pierce it through her chest and see red
Screaming. I am hit
They will kill me now…
I will die as Domina
A righteous name for a queen
