Desperate Need

He needed to sort out his feelings,
He couldn’t take it anymore;
Everything was changing too fast, too quickly,
Nothing was like before.

He needed to let out his anger,
His secrets, his problems, his fears;
He needed to get over the regret
Of wasted time and wasted years.

He needed to start all over-
Turn everything around-
He needed to shut out every minute,
Every movement, every sound.

He needed some sort of comfort,
Something to fill up the void,
H needed to start rebuilding
What he himself had destroyed.

He needed a Friend to hold him,
A friend who’d understand how he felt
But he reached out to nobody,
And in a corner he kept himself knelt.

He needed to start running
Run fast and never look back,
He needed to run away, far away
From the world, from the ‘attack’.

He needed to slow down a little,
Slow down and take his breath.
But he kept running from his life;
Kept running to his death.
